South Dakota has failed to control invasive mussels

After massive failures of state agencies like South Dakota Game, Fish and Plunder Denny Daugaard is throwing up his hands on invasive species like zebra and quagga mussels.

Using a Western Governors' Association letterhead Daugaard just sent a letter to Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke begging the feds to bail him out.

Climate science-denying Daugaard has managed to make South Dakota a perpetual welfare state and permanent disaster area so at least he's making the twenty SDGOP donors like Hani Shafai who run the state happy.

Commissioners for South Dakota's Game, Fish and Plunder want mandatory boat inspections after failing the control of aquatic invasive species (AIS).

After spending millions of dollars to repel them SDGFP and the City of Rapid City have failed to keep geese from Canyon Lake, too.

Diving ducks like the Canvasback, Redhead, Bufflehead, Lesser Scaup and the Common Goldeneye feed on invasive zebra mussels.

Under President Obama the US Environmental Protection Agency had been taking steps to reverse the effects of nitrogen pollution in the Prairie Pothole Region; but, South Dakota's Republican At-large US Representative Kristi Noem says to hell with that.
